How much you can get
Up to $1,000. Replacing strip (electric resistance) heat with a heat pump: $600 at 15.2 SEER2 / 7.5 HSPF2, or $1,000 at 16 SEER2 / 7.5 HSPF2. Replacing an existing heat pump: $500 (15.2 SEER2 minimum). A/C-only upgrade: $300.

- Eligibility
- Duke Energy Florida residential customers in single-family homes. A free Home Energy Check with a qualifying recommendation in the last 24 months is required first. The whole home must be heated and cooled electrically, and the condensing unit and air handler must be replaced together. Duke says customers can stack up to $3,800 in Home Energy Improvement rebates.
